No, that’s what I really meant

It seem that recently the iPhone software update has decided that the word ‘so’ is not a possibility anymore and that I must have meant ‘do’. It takes 4 times going back over the word and changing ‘d’ to ‘s’ for it to understand I actually mean what I type.  Is it because the word ‘do’ is used more in text messages than the word ‘so’, probably, and it is fair enough, the phone is just trying to be helpful, it is the more popular word, but it is annoying that it assumes that because my word is not the most popular choice it must be a accident, I must have meant to say the thing that society has decided is the ‘right’ answer, the first choice.

Obviously you can see where I am going to draw the similarities to our Christian walk, Jesus was not popular, Christianity is not the first choice when it comes to an easy life.  Following Christ is not what society has decided is ‘the right way’, they think that what we meant to chose was their way, the most popular way, but it doesn’t change my choice, if I have to keep going back and showing them that what I have chosen is exactly what I meant to chose, I will go back far more than 4 times to set it right, I choose Christ, every time.

‘Sometimes the most popular word isn’t the right one, sometimes the popular choice is not the right choice.’

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” Matt 7:13-14
