12 Carols of Christmas: Bended Knee

As I mentioned a few days ago, we are not the only ones worshiping this Saviour baby, even the Heavenly Hosts, the angels, sing of his glory, for he is their King also.

Jesus is the Messiah to us all, a Saviour from sin, even the angels declare his glory and his ultimate victory of love.  The angels are not human and don’t have a humanity that leads them into sin, but it is definitely not impossible for an angel to sin, the master of all sin, Satan, used to be an angel himself named Beelzebub, who though he could do better than God.  Just like us it is possible for an angel to place something else in the rightful place of God and hence fall in sin.

The angels declare with us, the glory, the love, the salvation that comes from Jesus Christ and they celebrate with us the birth of this new born King.

Come to Bethlehem and see

Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

So whenever we doubt our need to worship the King just remember as is mentioned in ‘Angels we have heard on high’, far great beings than us are on bended knee before him, Wisdom will hopefully lead us to the same response.  Don’t just take my word or a carols advice, Read Revelation 5 in the bible and see him for who he is, a lamb and a King.

Merry Christmas.
